Addition pays tribute to firm co-founder Benjamin Ruemke, who passed away in 2021
HOUSTON – Esteemed trial lawyer Alfred “Ted” Ruemke has joined Houston-based Paranjpe Mahadass Ruemke LLP, or PMR Law, in honor of his late son, who co-founded the firm.
Effective immediately, Mr. Ruemke is retiring his own practice at the Law Office of Alfred Ted Ruemke and will serve as Of Counsel Attorney in PMR’s civil litigation and personal injury practices. He has more than 40 years of experience representing plaintiffs in high-stakes litigation. Mr. Ruemke has brought hundreds of cases to trial, further demonstrating his commitment to the zealous pursuit of justice for those who have been injured.
“I am extremely proud to become a small part of my son’s legacy,” said Mr. Ruemke. “It is a privilege to serve the people of Houston and beyond alongside his loyal friends and partners. I hope I make him proud.”
Benjamin Ruemke, a well-respected trial lawyer who used his passion for the law to fight for injured individuals, passed away unexpectedly in 2021 at the age of 39.
“We lost not only a business partner that day, but a best friend too,” said co-founder Tej Paranjpe. “He was more to us than just another name on the wall; he was our brother. We are happy to pay tribute to him in this way.”
Co-founder and managing shareholder Raj Mahadass echoed those sentiments.
“Ben was the kind of person you wanted on your team, whether that was in court or in life,” said Mr. Mahadass. “He was an amazing attorney and an even better person. We want to honor him any way that we can, and Ted joining our firm is such an emotional, but fantastic feeling.”
