Alok Khera, a native Houstonian, has been in the marketing and sales arena for over 20 years.
Growing up in southwest Houston, Alok graduated from Bellaire High school, and subsequently attended the University of Houston where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Marketing and Finance, with an Advanced Sales certification from the University of Houston’s Program for Excellence in Selling. Following his graduation from UH, Alok held careers in the automotive industry before starting his 12-year advertising sales career at the Houston Chronicle. During his tenure at the Chronicle, Alok excelled in digital marketing for the Chronicle and the Hearst corporation in a variety of verticals including oil and gas, big box retail, automotive, real estate, legal, and tech sectors.
Alok implemented targeted sales strategies to target specific geographical and demographic regions via display advertising, SEO, Google AdWords, Email marketing, direct mail, and traditional forms of advertising channels.
Upon exit of the time with Hearst, Alok founded his own marketing consulting agency, focusing on driving traffic and growth to small and medium sized businesses in the greater Houston area.
In his free time, Alok enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, fitness in various gym communities, and an unhealthy addiction and love for automobiles. Alok possesses a vivacious and energetic personality which is primarily focused on making the people in his space laugh and smile constantly, and thereby is extremely blessed with a large network of loving friends and relationships he has cultivated over his lifetime.
