In the last year, the firm has led the way in the representation of homeowners whose homes have been damaged by improperly designed and constructed pipelines in Houston-area neighborhoods. The litigation could impact how companies design and build pipelines through residential areas in the future.
In a Channelview, Texas, case, PMR Law claims more than $250 million in damages against six defendants, including CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC and Enterprise Products Holdings, LLC, for failing to properly construct a pipeline behind residents’ homes, resulting in flooding, structural damage and a decrease in home values. The case has grown from a single homeowner to nearly 1,000 plaintiffs today.
The firm also recently secured a $1.7 million jury verdict for a Houston-area mother whose son was struck and killed by a restaurant delivery driver in 2019.
Mr. Paranjpe and Mr. Mahadass have been frequently honored for their tireless efforts representing plaintiffs. Mr. Paranjpe recently earned selection to Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” for 2022, and Mr. Mahadass was honored again in the 2021 listing of Texas Super Lawyers.
